How cancellations and refunds work.

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for bookings made with Umrah Gateway (Seven Zones Services Ltd T/A Umrah Gateway). It should be read together with our [Terms and Conditions](https://umrahgateway.co.uk/terms).

## Deposits

A deposit is required to confirm your booking. The deposit is non-refundable, because it is used straight away to secure flights, hotels and visas with our suppliers.

## Cancelling your booking

To cancel, please tell us in writing by email to [info@umrahgateway.co.uk](mailto:info@umrahgateway.co.uk). Your cancellation takes effect on the day we receive it. The charges depend on how close to departure you cancel and on the charges made by the airline, hotels and other suppliers at that time; they are set out in your booking confirmation.

- **Flights:** most airline tickets are non-refundable once issued. Any refund depends on the airline's fare rules; airport taxes may be refundable.
- **Hotels:** refunds depend on each hotel's cancellation policy. Non-refundable rates cannot be refunded.
- **Visas:** visa fees cannot be refunded once the application has been submitted, whether or not the visa is issued.
- **Transport and other services:** refunded in line with the supplier's cancellation terms.

## Changes

If you would like to change your dates, hotels or travellers, contact us as soon as possible. Changes depend on availability and supplier rules, and any supplier charges plus an administration fee will apply.

## If we or our suppliers cancel

If your booking cannot go ahead because of circumstances beyond our control, such as airline schedule changes, political unrest, natural disasters or changes in visa rules, we will offer an alternative where possible. Where a refund is due, it will be made in line with the airline's and suppliers' cancellation policies, less our administration fee.

## How refunds are paid

Refunds are processed within 3 to 6 weeks of the cancellation, once we have received the money back from our suppliers. They are paid to the original payment method, or by bank transfer to the person who made the booking.

## Travel insurance

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance when you book. A good policy can cover cancellation charges if you have to cancel for reasons such as illness.
